Pontresina: family fun, freeride action & firn snow adventures

Let’s go skiing in Languard, Diavolezza & St. Moritz!

The sunny ski resort of Pontresina is located in the Swiss Engadine region, not far from Engadin Airport and only six kilometres from the famous St. Moritz ski resort. The resort is manageable and family-friendly, and it even received the "Family Destination" seal of quality of the Swiss Tourism Association. One of the many reasons for that is certainly the heartfelt hospitality that you’ll experience there.

However, if you think that only families and children come to Pontresina to ski, you might want to think again. The Diavolezza and Lagalb ski resorts are located only a stone's throw to the south. Whether you come here to go carving, freeriding or snowboarding: On the 350 kilometres of slopes in the ski region, every winter sports enthusiast will find holiday happiness – starting as early as October.

By the way: If you take the plane to come to the Engadine, you can absolutely leave your winter sports equipment at home. INTERSPORT Rent in Pontresina equips you with the latest ski and snowboard gear.

Skiing in Pontresina

More about the ski resort

In the middle of Pontresina lies the small family-friendly Languard ski resort. It’s where you'll find everything a child's heart desires while on winter holiday – from a Kids Village to a toboggan run and a ski school. Best of all: Children under 15 ski for free in Languard.

Fans of freeride descents and firn-snow slopes will find two off-piste hotspots just outside Pontresina: the Diavolezza and Lagalb ski resorts near the glacier. On Diavolezza, the ski season starts as early as October and doesn't end until mid-May. What’s more, from Pontresina, the ski resorts of St. Moritz, Corvatsch and Zuoz can be reached quickly as well.
